Once again, Pink Floyd's 1973 classic album Dark Side Of The Moon has been voted number one, this time as best album of all time, in a poll conducted by Toronto's classic rock radio station Q107. This is consistent with a previous poll done in 2000, when the album won the "best album of the century" title.
Other albums by the band also scored well in the run-down - The Wall, Animals, Meddle, and Wish You Were
Here all figured in the top 107 listing. Here's the top ten:
1 - Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
2 - Led Zeppelin IV
3 - The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4 - AC/DC - Back In Black
5 - Pink Floyd - The Wall
6 - Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced?
7 - The Beatles - The Beatles (White Album)
8 - The Eagles - Hotel California
9 - Led Zeppelin II
10 - U2 - The Joshua Tree
For details of the complete listing, check out the Q107.com website.
They are also celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Wall album, with a trivia game on their website. Follow this link to play the game... There are some interesting questions to be found, and seem to be a good mix of easy and not so easy questions. Thanks to Buck Ansari for letting us know about the all-time best poll.
