Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1968WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are now here - with some more cinema screenings in selected places. However you experience it, it is NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

Pink Floyd-featured remastered soundtrack reissued on vinyl and CD Print E-mail

Tonite Let's All Make Love In London - soundtrack albumOne for the Pink Floyd collectors out there - recently, a new CD and vinyl edition of the original soundtrack album for the 1967 Peter Whitehead film, 'Tonite Let's All Make Love In London', was released.

The film looked at the "swinging London" scene of the sixties, and is based around a series of psychedelic performances and interviews, and features performance by Pink Floyd, together with footage of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Mick Jagger, Vanessa Redgrave, Lee Marvin, Julie Christie, Allen Ginsberg, Eric Burdon, Michael Caine and many others.

The soundtrack album, reissued by Charly Records in a newly remastered edition, is available worldwide again for the first time since 1968. It's been released on limited 180g vinyl, and on CD in special packaging. A Japanese limited edition did appear in July 2012, but proved very scarce, and a version with a different track listing came out in 1990. This new edition of the original album features a remaster made from an original tape located in the vaults of CBS records in the USA. The CD features a heavy card gatefold cover, with the disc itself in an additional sleeve in one pocket, whilst the other pocket includes a booklet.

The album includes, amongst other things, Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd, bookending the album which has a mix of dialog and music; separate releases have given Floyd fans the full version of Interstellar along with Nick's Boogie (recorded at the same session), so this release is more for those who want what was originally issued. With this remaster coming from the original tape, it's definitely the best quality you're going to hear it in.
