Pink Floyd 1968WOW - it's now the 27th YEAR of Brain Damage, your Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Syd Barrett, Richard Wright and Roger Waters news resource!

Marking the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic 1975 album, a range of Wish You Were Here 50 celebratory editions: deluxe box set, blu-ray, 3LP set, 2CD set and coloured vinyl single LPs came out at the end of last year. Full details here. The LA 1975 concert, recorded by Mike Millard and remastered by Steven Wilson, came out as a standalone item on 4LP for Record Store Day, and 2CD across most of the world.

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, and digital was also released in 2025 - and is NOT to be missed. As is the 4K UltraHD edition out now!

Also last year, celebrating the concerts to coincide with David Gilmour's album, Luck and Strange, cinema/IMAX screenings, and a book, 2Blu-ray, 3DVD, 4LP, 2CD and deluxe box set options were also released and are getting very high praise.

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's their RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too much longer before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info! Before all that though is the release of Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill Live In Prague on 4LP vinyl, Blu-ray, DVD, 2CD and digital which is out now.

Nick Mason - NYC interview and signing session Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Sunday, 10 September 2006
With Nick Mason's impending guest appearance with Roger Waters at his upcoming New York City shows (at the Madison Square Garden), Nick has obviously decided to make the most of his time in the Big Apple, with a signing session at Best Buy, and a radio interview.

First, the interview. This takes place at 8am EDT on Tuesday morning (TOMORROW!), and forms part of Jim Kerr's morning show on Q104.3 in New York. Q104.3 streams its programming via Q1043.com and typically, Kerr's interviews are made available as downloads via their website and also iTunes. Currently available are a few of his past chats with Roger, Nick and also David Gilmour.

Q104.3 will also be running a "cut-the-line promotion": two winners and their guests get to cut the line and meet Nick privately. They win a copy of Pulse, and two tickets to the Dark Side of the Moon show at Jones Beach. The promotion will be on their website, and will be mentioned on air from tomorrow.

UPDATE AND DOWNLOAD DETAILS: The interview was a very enjoyable 23 minute affair, with Nick on top form talking about Inside Out, the PULSE DVD, his guest appearance with Roger, and much more. Part way through, he got a sudden shock when the voice of "your friend, your boss!" (Roger) boomed around the studio courtesy of a show ident! You can, through this link at Q1043.com either listen to the interview via a web stream, download the whole thing as a 13.1MB MP3 file, or subscribe to the Jim Kerr interviews as a regular podcast. There are also many of the older interviews available through this same link.

Turning to the signing session, Nick is scheduled to appear at Best Buy Midtown, which is on 5th Avenue (at 44th Street) in the heart of New York City, on Thursday (September 14th) at 6pm. He will be signing copies of Pink Floyd's PULSE DVD, as well as his book "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd".

We've had many people email us following the various book signing sessions Nick has undertaken over the last year or so, with everyone having had a great time, and being knocked out at Nick's generosity and good humour at the events.

This one-off event is likely to be incredibly popular - so if you intend seeing him at the store, please be early, as spaces are limited! If you attend the signing, please let us know.

Our thanks to Lars from Columbia Records for the information!
