Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1968WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are now here - with some more cinema screenings in selected places. However you experience it, it is NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

Nick Mason "Inside Out" - US book signings news Print E-mail
Written by Matt
Tuesday, 01 March 2005

Nick Mason's great new book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd" is selling well in various countries, and will be available in the US this spring. To coincide with this, Nick will be doing a number of book signing sessions across the country, and we have an update on the current schedule of these sessions.

We've had a few emails from people who have spotted Nick's session in LA, on the Virgin Megastore website, and have queried the date quoted of April 23rd. We can categorically confirm (thanks to PFM) that this was an error on their website and, following our contact with them today, the date has been corrected to the 16th.

Those who attended the UK book signing sessions have all said that they had a great time, and were knocked out at Nick's generosity and good humour at the events.

This new set of appearance dates that we've got for you are likely to be incredibly popular - so if you intend seeing him on one of the following dates, please be early! Here's the current list of where to catch Nick State-side:

April 13th (7pm) - JBL Theater, EMP, Seattle Center (next to the Space Needle)
April 14th - Booksmith offsite event: Park Bridge Library, Page Street, San Francisco
April 16th - Virgin Megastore, 8000 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles
April 19th - Barnes & Noble, Union Square/33 East 17th Street, New York City

Please confirm times with the stores before setting out, as they are subject to last minute change. Nick is hoping to confirm at least one other signing session, and as we get confirmed information on this, we will let you know.

BOOK ORDERS
Amazon are promoting the book heavily on their websites, offering it at a well discounted price. It can be ordered through our special links at Amazon USA, Canada, UK/Elsewhere, Germany, or France (they have the French AND English language versions).

Alternatively, if you are in the UK, and missed out on the signing sessions Nick did last year, signed and dedicated books are still being offered to UK fans, using the order form found here in our news pages, but be aware that this is a time limited offer so get your orders in now if you want to guarantee your copy. The books are priced at £30 plus shipping, and for those of you who have asked the question, it is DEFINITELY Nick that is signing these!
