Nick Mason - "Inside Out" book update Print E-mail

Further to our previous news items about Nick Mason's long-awaited, and much anticipated, book about Pink Floyd, called "Inside Out - A Personal History", to be published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson in the UK and Europe, we have an update on the date that the book may be hitting the book shops...

Due to a few issues the release date moved from 9th September to October 14th, but this was revised to October 7th. However, last week Nick himself said that there is a small chance that the book may appear on the shelves this Thursday, September 30th. It is still most likely, though, to be October 7th... but worth having a look if you are passing a bookshop at the end of this week.

Nick also revealed that he has been beavering away signing copies of the book - 2,500 of them! He then joked that the unsigned version would be the rarer, collector's item!

We previously mentioned that Nick would be doing a book signing tour, and the first of the dates has been confirmed. Nick will be signing at Borders Books in London's Oxford Street on October 7th at 1pm - if you are attending it would be wise to arrive well in advance of this time as the event is sure to be popular.

More dates will be advised soon, for other locations.

Amazon are promoting the book heavily on their website, at time of writing offering a whopping 40% discount on the book! It can be ordered through our special links as normal.

Our thanks to Elizabeth at the publishers, Weidenfeld & Nicolson, for her continued help with this.
