Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1968WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are now here - with some more cinema screenings in selected places. However you experience it, it is NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

New issue of Italian/English Floyd fanzine Heyou now available Print E-mail

Heyou issue 39Just published is the latest issue (number 39 - cover date March 2023) of the Pink Floyd fanzine "Heyou" run by our friends over at the Italian website of the same name. The 52-page dual language magazine (in Italian and English), which is published every six months or so, catches up with things in the Floyd world.

As ever, the magazine has three main areas of focus for its coverage. First up is a lengthy and well-illustrated, 25-page interview with Alan Parsons on the recording of The Dark Side Of The Moon. Interestingly, some of Parsons' recollections (particularly relating to live performances of the work-in-progress version of the album) are incorrect, and there's no indication of when the interview took place... potentially over time, certain details became muddled.

Also in the magazine is an extensive review of the first night of the Roger Waters 2022 This Is Not A Drill tour, in Pittsburgh. The review is heavily illustrated with photographs of the concert, which we presume were audience, rather than press shots. There's also a picture showing some of the fairly extensive range of merchandise on offer at that first show.

The final section of the magazine is mainly taken up with a six page review of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets at their 2022 show in Belfast, the second night of their Echoes Tour (which resumes for a number of shows in July this year). Alongside this is a review of the excellent and fairly forensic "Pink Floyd - BBC Radio 1967-1971" book from our friends at Floydstuff.com, which is available as a paperback or hardback edition.

More details of the Heyou fanzine can be found through this link at www.heyou.it, where you can get individual copies (including back issues), and subscription enquiries (four issues costing 35 euros within Europe, and 45 euros outside Europe) should go to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it - make sure you mention Brain Damage when you write!
