mark_blake_comfortably_numb_coverComfortably Numb: The Inside Story Of Pink Floyd, Mark Blake's superb biography of the band (published in Europe under the title Pigs Might Fly), goes on sale in the US in all major bookstores from December 31st, 2007.

Drawing on his own interviews with all of the band members, plus almost a hundred new interviews with the group's friends, road crew, producers, designers, former house mates and university colleagues - some of whom have never spoken before - as well as musical contemporaries including Pete Townshend and Alice Cooper, the book follows Pink Floyd all the way from the early psychedelic nights at UFO in the mid-sixties to the fragile, tantalising reunion in Hyde Park, and we found it a truly captivating and absorbing read. Our review will be on the site shortly, but in the meantime this new, US edition can be ordered direct from Amazon.com at a healthy discount.
