Many of you will recall that Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour appeared with Jools Holland at the Teenage Cancer Trust charity show at London's Royal Albert Hall, on April 1st this year.

We confirmed in June that there will be a DVD of the Jools Holland night at the Royal Albert Hall. We've had a number of emails from people eager to find out the status of this release. We spoke with Jools Holland's management today to find out for you... They told us that the visual mix was completed last week, and the audio mix is being completed this week.

The final edit, putting together the audio and video, will be done next week, and then the process begins of getting the artists approval and sign off for the project. As with all legal matters, this is expected to take some time - especially due to the number of guests involved. As such, Jools' manager didn't think that the DVD would be out until the third quarter of 2005.

Obviously at this stage, they cannot confirm the exact content of the DVD. Having attended the night in question, we are sure that the DVD will be an essential purchase - some great artists and superb music throughout the evening!

The Teenage Cancer Trust focuses on the particular needs of UK teenagers and young adults with cancer, leukaemia, Hodgkin’s and related diseases. The Charity designs and builds dedicated adolescent cancer units in hospitals and funds and organises support and information services for patients, their families, schools and health professionals. Teenager Cancer Trust has a number of awareness and fundraising activities throughout the year. The Charity is actively developing overseas contacts in order to create support for teenagers with cancer and related diseases on a global level. An affiliation already exists with CanTeen in Australia.

A great cause - and deserving of your support when the DVD comes out. And if you feel like making a donation while you are waiting for it to come out, I am sure they will be happy to accept it!

Our thanks to Jools' management for their help with this DVD.
