Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1968WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are now here - with some more cinema screenings in selected places. However you experience it, it is NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info! Before all that though is the release of Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill Live In Prague on 4LP vinyl, Blu-ray, DVD, 2CD and digital on August 1st!

Another Roger Waters show to be confirmed by webcast Print E-mail

A new website has just appeared, following the recent announcement of a set of Roger Waters concerts across Europe this summer.

RogerWaters2006.com at the moment just hints at what it calls "the musical event of the year" - a show somewhere in France, on an unspecified date, which includes his Pink Floyd colleague and friend Nick Mason on drums, to perform Dark Side Of The Moon!

In an unusual move, the press conference to announce this special event will be webcast live on February 27th at 11am CET. The full website for the show will also go live on that date. There is pre-registration on the site for more information to come in the future.

By the way, in response to a couple of queries (and before posting this info on the site), we checked out the credentials of this site with Roger's management, and they confirmed that the site is an official, legitimate one!

Ticket sales for the confirmed shows that Roger Waters will be playing this summer, have been selling very strongly, with the Berlin show almost sold out, and the Oslo Norwegian Wood festival sold out (within 18 minutes).

Tickets for the Roskilde Festival are also selling very strongly, and we heard today that the Lisbon Rock In Rio Festival tickets have now gone on sale. Despite this show having a large capacity, tickets are still expected to go quickly. The show links below have details of how to get tickets for all these shows, along with other essential information.

As with the upcoming David Gilmour shows, we want to give Roger's shows comprehensive coverage. We'd love to see your comments about the shows, and any ticket scans, pictures, reviews, set lists, newspaper reports, concert adverts, interviews, audio, video, or anything else you come across. We've set up a page for each show's goodies and practical information, accessed via the Roger Waters 2006 Tour page, so keep checking back. Already put a couple of ticket scans and tour ads up on there, but we're after more. Please get in touch if you can help, too!
