An additional date has been announced for the Roger Waters 2018 Australian/New Zealand/European Us + Them tour, with tickets going on sale next week.
Here is the newly announced date:
Dedicated pages for each newly announced show on the tour are now live, joining the show pages already shown in the 2018 Roger Waters tour area. If any further dates on the Australian/New Zealand/European tour is announced, a page for each concert will be in place: the location to find out information on each show, and to see, once the concert has taken place, pictures, video and commentary.

Today (November 17th), Pink Floyd Records have reissued A Collection Of Great Dance Songs and Delicate Sound Of Thunder on vinyl, the first time they have been available on this format for well over twenty years. These are the band's first 'best of' and live albums to be remastered on vinyl. If you've had a knock on the door today, with the postman/woman delivering them, or indeed you've visited your local record shop to pick them up, we'd love to know your thoughts on these latest releases!
Over the past two years, Pink Floyd Records has released the entire studio collection as stereo remastered versions on heavyweight 180g vinyl. All are mastered from the original analogue studio tapes with album artwork faithfully reproduced. The same applies to these best of and live albums.
Originally released in 1981, A Collection Of Great Dance Songs was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA in 2001. The compilation album contains alternative mixes and versions of the band's classics including Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2) and Money.
Recorded live over five nights in August 1988 at the Nassau Coliseum, Long Island, NY, Delicate Sound Of Thunder became infamous for being the first rock album to be played in outer space.
With many of you out there committed vinyl enthusiasts, we're sure that these editions will be very popular. Thus, for those who haven't got their copies yet, below we list dedicated
ordering links for both albums on vinyl - using these will give
a small but vital contribution to the running costs of Brain Damage,
without costing you a penny/cent extra, and we really appreciate it!

Just published is the latest issue (number 30 - cover date November 2017) of the Pink Floyd fanzine "Heyou" run by our friends over at the Italian website of the same name. The 52-page dual language magazine (in Italian and English), which is published every six months or so, catches up with things in the Floyd world this year.
The magazine has as its major focus Roger Waters: his Us + Them tour, and his recently released album, Is This The Life We Really Want? with a reprint of a Rolling Stone interview, a full translation of all the lyrics, and a look at the rehearsal show at the very start of the tour.
Elsewhere there is an interview with Turkish pianist/composer/arranger AyseDeniz Gokcin, who combines classical music with other genres, particularly rock music. She is particularly known for her adaptations of Pink Floyd's music. The publishers of Heyou arranged what we hear was an "incredible performance by AyseDeniz" with a supporting group of musicians, The Echoes, on Sunday, November 12th at the Dario Fò theater in Camponogara-Venezia. After the performance, reinterpreting the music of Pink Floyd in a classical, Lisztian style, Alberto Durgante made her an honorary member of the Floydseum cultural association, which he is president of. See photo, left.
As with most issues of Heyou, there's a chronological look at things that have happened in the last few months in the news pages, ranging from various magazines published with Floyd content, to re-issues, books published, and more. Strangely, there is a very brief mention of David Gilmour's Live at Pompeii project - one would expect much more about this in the magazine.
More details of the Heyou fanzine can be found at www.heyou.it/fsubscrbd.html, where you can get individual copies, and subscription enquiries (four issues costing 30 euros within Europe, and 40 euros outside Europe) should go to

In April 1970, Pink Floyd were in the midst of touring North America, and arranged a deal with small local television station KQED in the San Francisco area for an hour-long live performance to be recorded. As with Pompeii, there was no audience as they ran through the set at the Fillmore Auditorium in the city, on the 30th of the month. All for the princely sum of $200!
The performance was broadcast at the time, and last year made available officially on The Early Years box set (and subsequent "breakout" editions which focused on each year). Recently though, KQED unearthed raw footage of Pink Floyd's performance, which, incredibly, included a half hour of music not included in the original broadcast. After months of negotiations, KQED has been granted the right to exclusively premiere film of one of those songs, Astronomy Domine, which can be seen through this link.
The full story of how a small TV station managed to get the Floyd to perform their set for the KQED cameras, and how the additional footage was discovered, visit KQED.org.
