Roger's Us + Them tour heads into Europe following the successful 2017 shows in the US and Canada. At the original announcement, the following was revealed:

"We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret," said Roger Waters. "It'll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It'll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”

The announcement notes that "Roger Waters' legendary live performances are renowned as immersive sensory experiences featuring high class, state-of-the-art audio visual production and breathtaking quad sound. This new tour promises to be no exception; following months of meticulous planning and visionary craft, US + Them will inspire crowds with its powerful delivery and take the audience on an unforgettable musical journey."

Those who have attended - or have seen pictures/video of - the US and Canadian shows, will know just how spectacular and moving this new production is, and how it is a show you really shouldn't miss!

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!

Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played!

The first of two spectacular nights in the French capital, at this large (40,000) modern arena. Due to its size, in particular, the high roof, the central screens bisecting the audience couldn't be used. Thus, a huge rear screen, as seen at the Desert Trip shows, complete with Battersea Power Station chimneys, was used. As you'll see from Julien Richard's contribution below, they beefed up the show finale with the use of fireworks at the conclusion of Comfortably Numb.

As with the three shows which preceded Paris (two nights in Berlin, and the one night in Mannheim), neither Mother, nor Wait For Her/Oceans Apart/Part Of Me Died, were performed. We now wonder if it is a permanent change, to adjust the flow of the final part of the set list...

First, here's a video from the show from Roger's official Facebook page…

We'd love to know from those attending how they felt the concert went. How was the show for you, if you were one of the fortunate ones to attend? Let us know what YOU thought!

CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Jerome Ravon

A big surprise here at the U arena in Paris. Roger did not use the perpendicular screens at the start of the second part. It looked like the stage he had at Indio and Foro Sol concerts back in 2016. There was a canopy made up of seven beams over the band. And there were the four chimneys at the back of the giant screen (which failed on one of his parts during Comfortably Numb). Great show. Missed Mother as an encore.

Last night was MINDBLOWING! Looks like last night was a sort of dress rehearsal for the stadium shows in South America, and Hyde Park (the power station behind tbe band, the fireworks, the huge screen, etc.). Epic...

CONCERT REVIEW and PICTURES by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Lawrence Werrett

It was an astounding show. As a lifelong Floyd fan I'd say this is the most spectacular Floyd related show I've ever seen. Shamefully my first time seeing Roger Waters, and in stark contrast to Nick Mason's intimate gig a few weeks earlier, this was a confident, bold and at times very moving show with a strong political message.

I was spellbound from start to finish. The musicians were excellent and faithful to the originals. I did chuckle at the 70's era David Gilmour lookalike on guitar & vocals, however he is much more than a Dave doppelgänger and did not disappoint. An absolute treat to hear Animals live with such skilled musicianship and truly mind blowing visuals.

We didn't get the huge screen down the middle of the arena, but the enormous screen behind the stage more than made up for it. The security in the U Arena allowed those in the front seats to stand at the barrier for the encores so I managed to get up close with the band and burnt by the pyro at the end!

Well worth the 3 day round trip from the UK and the £200 odd quid per ticket. Catch this show, whatever it takes. Bucket list item ticked off!

YOUR HELP NEEDED! We want to cover Roger's concerts the best we can, to share the experience with everyone, especially those who won't be able to attend the shows. We'd love to see ANY pictures, tickets scans, reviews, newspaper reports, and anything else you come across for this show - we look forward to hearing from you!
