November 1st sees the publication of "The Black Strat: A History Of David Gilmour's Black Fender Stratocaster", written by Phil Taylor - David's equipment technician and studio manager. With a cover designed by Storm Thorgerson, and a feast of pictures and info inside, it promises much for both the guitar afficionado, and the general Pink Floyd fan alike. Having chatted to Phil recently about this, the book sounds an essential purchase, and we should have more information from him shortly.
Whilst Amazon stores are listing this truly Strat-tastic book, Phil will actually be selling the limited edition book directly from a special website that is being set up. Amazon won't be getting stocks, so don't bother placing an order with them...
UPDATE: Phil told us on October 17th that the book has been delayed by two weeks, so the revised date is now November 15th.
