Tomorrow night, the legendary sixties performer Arthur Brown headlines a tribute night to the late Pink Floyd founder, Syd Barrett.

The concert is being held in London at venue 2, in Great Portland Street in the centre of London. Billed as the Technicolor Dream Party, the show has been booked for some time, but with the passing of Syd on July 7th, the decision was made to devote the evening to remembering Barrett.

With a headline act of none other than the legendary Crazy World of Arthur Brown, who had a hit record in 1968 with ‘Fire’, it promises to be an interesting evening. Arthur’s amazing live show still often ends with real fireworks, and we're sure his flaming headdress will make an appearance.

Also on the bill is Interstellar Overcoat, a tribute band that focus purely on the Barrett era of Pink Floyd. Expect to hear the first album complete with all the sound effects, plus the early Floyd singles such as ‘See Emily Play’ and ‘Arnold Lane’. They also perform some of Syd’s late 60’s and early 70’s solo works.

More details of the evening can be found through this link.

Our thanks to Greg Morgan and Matthew North for the head's up on this show.
