Large Pink Floyd/Piper feature in new Guitar World |

 The new issue (cover date: December 2007) of Guitar World magazine is well worth snapping up. There's a fascinating six-page article on the recording of Pink Floyd's Piper At The Gates of Dawn, with the producer of that album, and the Floyd's other early recordings, Norman "Hurricane" Smith. Smith is interviewed about the band members and the background to the recordings themselves, which provides a taster for his forthcoming book "John Lennon Called Me Normal". The article is accompanied with some great early shots, in Abbey Road Studios, and onstage at the UFO.
Elsewhere in the magazine is a full transcription of "Pigs (Three Different Ones)". (Thanks to Nick Urmston for the head's-up!)
