classic rock magazine The new issue of the UK's Classic Rock magazine (cover date January 2008) has a couple of interesting items for Pink Floyd fans.

First, there's a fascinating seven page article, written by Brain Damage founder Glenn Povey, looking at the Jimi Hendrix-headlining package tour of the UK in November and December 1967. With Pink Floyd as one of the support acts on the tour, which played two shows a day at fairly small venues, it's something that makes you wish for the real-life invention of time machines! However, the tour was full of incident, as Glenn's article reveals...

Elsewhere, Nick Mason talks about presenting Storm Thorgerson with his Outstanding Contribution award, and there's also a 2008 calendar, with twelve months of great shots relating to a different band each month. February's page has a picture of Pink Floyd at the mixing desk during the Wish You Were Here sessions in 1975. Our thanks to Jason Pyke for the head's-up on this publication, which is available now in most good stores across the UK, and available shortly worldwide in selected outlets as an import.
