Tickets for the second of Roger's shows at the River Plate, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, went on sale on February 3rd, through www.ticketek.com.ar.
As at February 12th, all tickets for the previous night's show at this venue (March 17th) were sold out, with a few left for this second show at the venue on March 18th.

The second night in Argentina at the Estadio River Plate, and another cracking show going by the comments we've had so far. Roger Waters and his band now take a five day break before arriving in Brazil for the pair of shows there...

Okay, was the concert good? Yes it certainly was a better sounding show than either his 1990 (Berlin) or 2002 (Earls Court) performances. The set list, familiar to all I am sure, was great from a Pink Floyd fan’s perspective (one could maybe quibble that Gunner’s Dream and Nobody Home weren’t there, but everything else was!). I was surprised and pleased to see Roger taking the microphone far more than expected in “Dark Side” – I think his voice could have suited “Money” too.
The screen was really clear, the pig and pyramid worked well, and the crowd, mostly, was in excellent form. On stage lighting was a little disappointing, but you can’t have everything! If this is to be his farewell live tour, he could hardly have chosen better songs, or theatrics. BUT… I found myself doubting whether in order to perform such a good show, he has sacrificed some integrity.
Firstly, this is the huge stadium where the 1978 World Cup final was held. Quite why did Roger feel that the first half of the football pitch in front of the stage needed to be filled with VIP seating? Did the performers not feel a bit of a lack of atmosphere because the main body of the audience so far away? If I had been in their shoes I would have done. How ironic that in “Animals speak” Waters seems to now be favouring the “Dogs” over the “Sheep” (even ignoring that the cheapest tickets (like mine) cost not far short of £30 each). But I have never seen a bigger VIP area in my life. Even in Live 8 it was smaller… this really, really felt very very wrong in a Roger Water’s concert. And not just to me…
Secondly, and much less importantly, while I quite enjoy stadium concerts myself, although I arrived early and was one of the lucky ones on the pitch able to get a good view from halfway back. But one has to wonder whether Roger, in the continent’s biggest stadia, feels a bit of a hypocrite playing songs from the Wall which are (at least partly) a reaction against stadium concerts. After all, it was not so long ago that he was venting his anger against his ex-bandmates for the same. Not to mention the live “In the Flesh” CD sleevenotes where he said much the same… but judging by the fans last night, not too many others were bothered by this.

I have no words to describe to you the Roger Waters concert in Buenos Aires City last Saturday and Sunday, in front of 100,000 people.
The concert had a great significance for all the Argentinian people, not only because Roger's political views about George Bush, Tony Blair and the Iraqi war.
Next month, our countries will remember the 25th anniversary of the horrible and despicable Falklands War between Argentina and Great Britain, and a considerable part of the show was dedicated (with songs from The Final Cut album) to the people who died in this conflict.
For that reason the show was really very emotional for all the audience, and I saw the entire concert with tears in my eyes...
