With David Gilmour's new album, On An Island, just over a week away now (it hits the stores on March 6th in the UK and Europe, and March 7th in the US), we have an urgent update on how you can take a sneak preview of the complete album!

Clips from Castellorizon preview
Starting today (Saturday 25th February) you need to visit DavidGilmour.com each day. There, you will be able to view a video clip of each track on the album, exclusive to David's own site. A different clip will be posted each day.

Shown in the two screen grabs to the right, today's selection is the opening track of the album, Castellorizon. The two minute segment features some wonderful guitar playing, and is a great place to start! For each clip, you have the option of viewing the content in either Real Media, or Windows Media, formats. There is also a low and high quality option, depending on your connection speed.

Whilst there, you can also view the electronic press kit, again in the two formats and connection speeds. We're sure many of you will be regular visitors to the site, as it keeps offering new and interesting materials as the days pass. An example other artists should follow as to how a new album should be marketed!

The first single from the album, the title track in full and special edited versions, comes out on the same day as the album, and is getting plenty of airplay on radio stations worldwide. However, contact your local station and ask for it - the more requests they get, the better! The single is now available to order online. Use these special links to secure your copy: US/International, UK/Europe, Canada, France or Germany. You can also (if in the US) buy the single version from iTunes.

The album itself can now be ordered for delivery upon release, through these special links: US/International, UK/Europe, Canada, France or Germany.

And finally, we know that a number of you will also want to buy the vinyl edition (or indeed, instead of the CD version!). Here's the links you need for this edition, which will be in a specially designed gatefold sleeve: Amazon UK, France, or Germany.
