Floyd balloonPink Floyd's music is often referred to as ethereal, transporting one to new lands, soaring through the skies... presumably the inspiration for our friend Gary Moore who runs a hot-air balloon company. His latest balloon, "Timepeace", is a particular beauty...

The 77,000 cu ft inflatable arrived with Gary in 2006, and features a lovely design running around the balloon's envelope (the bag that holds the hot air) canopy. It shows the Dark Side Of The Moon prism, along with the international peace symbol.

Gary's business, Wanderlust Balloons, take people with a head for heights on sunrise flights across the Lake Havasu City, Arizona area (in the USA). As with many such flights, they include things like champagne ceremonies once you are back on solid ground, and the view from the basket, whilst in flight, is supposed to be stunning.

Floyd balloonThey recently took the balloon to the winter sports resort of Snowmass, in Colorado, and a number of great pictures can be seen on their website - along with details of how to book your own flight.

Don't forget to tell Gary where you heard about his great balloons!
