Gilmour's Venezia shows - ticketing update |

As many of you are aware, David Gilmour was due to play the first of two shows in the glorious Piazza San Marco in Venezia (Venice), Italy on Friday, August 4th, until a major structural problem was identified with the stage (which had been constructed by a reputable third party company).
The David Gilmour website noted that the prime consideration was safety, not only for musicians and crew, but also for the audience and passers-by in the Piazza San Marco. Therefore, from necessity, the concerts were rescheduled to allow the stage to be dismantled with extreme care over the next 36 hours, under the supervision of the Venice fire service. We know of many people from across the world who travelled to Venice for the event, and whilst a number of these will no longer be able to see the show, David's management have done their best to accomodate people returning to the show as best they can. However, the above arrangements should at least give ticket holders the best possible opportunity of being able to attend one of the shows.
