New book: Pink Floyd in France: Les Dernières Briques - deluxe box setFrom the Château d'Hérouville to the Miraval studios, via Versailles or Royaumont, the history of Pink Floyd was partly written in France. Through the testimonies of authors, musicians, journalists, technicians and fans, a new book (written in French) coming in July looks back on the cultural heritage that the group and its members have shared with France for more than half a century.

After his book "Pink Floyd en France" (now sold out) - hailed by the French press and fans - Patrick Ducher invites you to discover the recording studios and mythical or unusual places and venues that have welcomed David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Richard Wright in France. The book also presents the genesis of the opera Ça Ira, composed by Roger Waters to tell the story of the French Revolution of 1789. Finally, the floor is given to the authors who wrote about Pink Floyd, in books or fanzines... without forgetting the many enthusiasts who bring back to life the music of a legendary group on stage.

The 148-page hardback book, with a number of unpublished or rare photos of the band's French concerts, is available to pre-order ahead of its publication on July 24, 2023. It's available in a standard edition (€29 plus shipping) and in a limited box set edition shown here of 300 copies (€65 plus shipping). This contains the book itself, a reproduction of the 40-page French fanzine "Signs of Floyd" published in the fall of 1998, a 7" felt slip mat for a turntable, a colour bookplate, numbered certificate and an A3 format poster. For any pre-order, a "Full Of Secrets" poster is included.

For each book sold, €2 is donated to Amnesty International. The publishers will ship worldwide, and ordering/more information can be found at www.pinkfloydenfrance.com.
