COMMENTS
Due to the critical success of the four initial shows in May 2018, held in tiny venues in London's Camden and Putney, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets announced a full European tour for September that year. The expanded shows for the full tour were even more highly acclaimed, and it came as no surprise when further dates for 2019 were announced. The insatiable demand for more dates, in more locations, has resulted in the band carrying on from where they left off, with shows for 2020 taking the music to new fans, as well as those who have already experienced the show, eager for more!
Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets brings together some familiar names, all great musicians: joining Nick are Gary Kemp and Lee Harris on guitars, Guy Pratt on bass, and Dom Beken on keyboards. Kemp is best known for his work with Spandau Ballet, Harris as having played guitar with The Blockheads (Ian Dury's band), Pratt needs no introduction, and Beken is principally known for his work with The Orb, and Transit Kings (with Pratt). The band will be playing early Pink Floyd songs.
This is a unique opportunity to experience Pink Floyd's celebrated and significant early body of work played live including songs from albums 'The Piper At The Gates of Dawn' and 'A Saucerful Of Secrets'.
The regular sale of tickets starts on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26th 2019 at 9am (UK time), via OETicket.com, other official agents, and the venues themselves.
UPDATE, 18th March, 2020: Due to the COVID-19/Coronavirus pandemic, this concert, along with the others on the 2020 tour, has been re-scheduled; tickets remain valid for the new date so there should be no need to contact the venue for clarification or to change the ticket. At this stage, the revised date has not been confirmed but we are expecting this very shortly, and will update this page accordingly.

After a great show in Bucharest two days ago, the Saucers returned to a venue they played on their first tour - the Gasometer in Vienna. We hear that Guy potentially broke the stick used for the gong upon striking it but don't have confirmation of that yet! Did you go to this show? Let us know!

József shared a couple of key moments for him, from the concert:
Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun
One of the dramatic events of the evening. Nick started playing the gong, reddish-yellow lights projected onto the stage and the canvas behind the band. The maid sitting on the left in front of me went out and headed for the buffet.
I remarked that if I wanted to listen to the recording, I had to do it here because everything was pounding. In the middle, Guy hit the gong, and the gong racket broke in two at once, the felted part flew off. He didn't know what to do with the situation. The following stage scene unfolded before us: Nick forgets about drumming, Gary peeks off his guitar, noticing nothing, Guy goes off the stage, technicians are searching. I was wondering how he was going to finish the track as the gong has to do it and the bat is nowhere to be found. Guy returned to sing the last verse, but he was visibly embarrassed. The lower strings of the snare drum may have been up pulled because a strange resounding came from the drums.
Nick may have dug up a spare from somewhere, but he didn’t miss the gong finish. Plus, it resulted in a cricket-sounding sound effect, which is a great innovation. The latter is not audible on early performances, so some electrical noise may have resonated.
A Saucerful of Secrets
I definitely like the changes here. Nick is more involved in cymbals.
Guy played a bit here too: hitting the cymbal, he alternately points out the guitarists who need to get the hissing sounds out of the guitar. Well, he pointed to the wrong thing at first. During this batch, he even collided with Lee Harris, but they made fun of it. Guy slowly, playfully, mimicking the punch, touched the punch to his shoulder. Towards the end, they were a little confused, as the knocking synthesizer voice is meant to warn, twice.
