Rock Stars Cars - David RobertsLooking for a Christmas stocking filler for the Pink Floyd fan in your life? A newly published book - Rock Star Cars, by David Roberts - could fit the bill. Offering "127 stars and their cars" (with a categorisation on the back for bookstores of 'file under Music/Automobiles, a slender if specific subcategory we suspect) this small format hardback book could be a interesting diversion to some music fans, an ideal book to dip into.

With a cover design seemingly inspired by a popular BBC television show, the contents pages enable one to search for either their favourite stars, or particularly cherished cars. There's no obvious thematic link to the contents and some band's members are split throughout the book such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but for the Pink Floyd fans the handful of pages featuring Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, and the (1967 era) Floyd are all gathered together.

Each picture has a small piece of accompanying text, explaining things such as a little about the car, the owner's collection, or what happened to the car (although some of the details are unavoidably rumours or hearsay). The pictures tend toward the theme of the artist leaning against the car, or the odd few spicing things up by sitting on the bonnet, so not a huge amount of visual variety (other than the vast array of different vehicles - some of which are very surprising) if you read the book in one sitting!

If you fancy a bit of musical/motoring crossover, you can order the book through these direct links: Amazon UK, Amazon.com, Amazon Canada, Amazon France, Amazon Germany, Amazon Spain and Amazon Italy. The US and Canadian edition is due for publication on May 10th, 2016, although if you cannot wait that long, you can order from one of the European Amazon stores, who will ship worldwide.
