Pink Floyd - The Endless River album launch, London November 2014

Last night, November 10th, to coincide with the UK and US release of Pink Floyd's The Endless River was launched at Porchester Hall in London's Bayswater. With typical Floydian panache, the hall was decked out in a Morrocan style, with throw cushions, sticks of incense, and impressive table lights.

The main thrust of the event was a playback - at a suitably loud volume - of the album in its entirety. To accompany this, Peter Wynne Willson, who was the man behind the Floyd's early, psychedelic light shows, was again on hand to give those of us lucky enough to be there, some absorbing "eye candy", customised to work perfectly with each piece of music.

On display at the front - and the first of our pictures [click thumbnail, right] - was a wonderful sculpture by the good people of StormStudios - commissioned by Pink Floyd for the album package, the weighty metal design is an endless infinity loop forming the Division Bell Heads.

In attendance, and clearly enjoying the music along with the rest of us, were the likes of Nick Mason, David Gilmour, Polly Samson, Phil Manzanera, Guy Pratt, Andy Jackson, Damon Iddins, Phil Taylor, Rupert Truman and Peter Curzon (StormStudios), Jill Furmanovsky, and many others. We've got a selection of pictures from the event here, and plenty more pictures can be found at our Facebook page.
