Progressive Music Awards 2014It's that time again - voting is now open for the 2014 Progressive Music Awards, organised by the UK's Prog Magazine. Again sponsored by Orange Amplification, this is the third year of running these. The 2014 awards will be hosted at the prestigious Underglobe, beneath Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, a venue which plays nicely on progressive rock's rich theatrical vein, on Thursday, September 11th, and hosted for the third time by one of the world's most respected news broadcasters and journalist Gavin Esler.

There are 12 categories of which seven are reader-voted, and two of these categories might be of interest to Pink Floyd fans.

First, the Live Event award has the likes of Ian Anderson, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Rick Wakeman fighting it out (votes-wise) with Roger Waters for his The Wall Live tour of 2010-2013. A live show as stunning as The Wall surely will have a decent chance of winning this category?

The other category is within the (renamed last year) Storm Thorgerson Grand Design Award category, and rubbing box set shoulders with the likes of Rush, King Crimson, and ELP, is the Pink Floyd's 20th Anniversary The Division Bell box set, which is released this weekend.

Cast your votes now, and you could be in with the chance of winning a bumper goodie bag featuring something from every band nominated in this year's Awards.
