COMMENTS A fairly late addition to the tour, the Viking Stadium was host to Roger and his band. Another popular show, with tickets selling very quickly... and initial reports suggest that the crowd greeted him just as warmly and enthusiastically as the preceeding shows. Roger now returns to the UK, with shows in Cork on Thursday, and London on Saturday. If you are going to either, have a great time, and let us know how they went! PRESS REPORTSThe Norwegian press have naturally been giving the show some coverage. There's a selection of around 45 pictures from the show (most of which appear to be straight audience shots) that can be found on the aftenbladet.no website. The television station NRK has also covered the show, and this page on their site has a small report and a couple of pictures. For a five minute video report of the show, again from NRK, click on this link. Our thanks to Knut Arne Vedaa and Hassan Mohammed for this information. SHOW REVIEWBy Brain Damage contributor, Terje AuklandLet me just say that the show yesterday evening was as a great as his show in Oslo some two weeks ago. But the flying astronaut wasn't there yesterday, and the final pyroshow after the last encore Comfortably Numb was missed out, too! And I have to say that David Kilminster definitely isn't David Gilmour! The set list at the Viking Stadium, Stavanger was the same as it was in Oslo (see above). By the way, it was quite unbelievable and a little bit moving that Roger did a gig just close to where I live! You know, Norway is just a small village in a global perspective, and Stavanger a remote kind of a rural community... |
