COMMENTS

Roger's tour of The Wall arrives at the venue which hand's down must win the prize for the worst name - it's the inclusion of the word "Yum!" with the exclamation mark which really makes it cheesy. The KFC Center would be fine, and indeed would sound better than many of the other venue names, but with that inclusion in the middle, it all comes crashing down! It's the first time in Kentucky for Roger and the band, and we'll bet that the show is a popular one.

The RogerWaters.com presales have taken place, with advance tickets available to those who had registered their interest in particular cities. General sale tickets went on sale on November 14th at 10am through this link to Ticketmaster.com. Exact dates and outlets can be found via Roger's website. The public sale will also see a limited number of VIP packages made available for each show on the tour. Our thanks to Elliot Tayman for the concert poster shown to the right.

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!

Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played, and what happened as the night unfolded!

Night fifty-two of the tour, leaving just twenty shows before the whole thing wraps up. The local media was there, of course, and there's a review on Louisville.com. Their review notes that the show "rocked the rafters" of the Yum Center, and were highly enthusiastic about the show.

"As the theatric filled musical progressed, Waters used every opportunity to showcase the imagery and symbolism associated with the album and movie of the same title. Sayings such as, “I Believe”, “Should I trust the government”, and “Them. Not. Us.” graced the wall from the start to finish. Many words and sayings insinuated liberal thoughts along with a couple F-Bombs for good measure.

"Articulate attention to the music, the effects, props, and the enjoyment of the audience came together in perfect tune with the assistance of so many, true professionals, for what was a once in lifetime opportunity."

If you went to this show in Louisville, please let us know what you thought of the event, and if anything interesting or different happened if you've been to previous shows and can compare.

CONCERT REVIEW and PICTURES by BD CONTRIBUTOR, James Sloan

Not much to report in a narrative that hasn't already been said, except this show sounded a bit more menacing, more bassy and more rumbling. Maybe it was where I was sitting exactly at the opposite end of the stage about 22 rows up from the floor...
