Roger's tour of The Wall obviously fancied a return to the Big Apple; having played two nights there a month ago, here we go with a third night, coming back to MSG! The concert ad shown to the right, along with the ticket scan, comes courtesy of BD's own Elliot Tayman.

The public sale also sees a limited number of VIP packages made available for each show on the tour. Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played, and what happened as the night unfolded!

Night thirty-one of the tour, and a return to Madison Square Garden which had an asbestos scare earlier in the week which resulted in the venue being closed temporarily. There was talk of David Gilmour possibly attending, fueled when press photographers found their passes temporarily revoked due to "a special guest" - these passes were later re-allocated to the photographers, so presumably either whoever the special guest was decided not to go, or it was an elaborate plan to stir up some additional interest in the event!

If you went to this show, please let us know what you thought of the event, and if anything interesting or different happened if you've been to previous shows and can compare.

CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Nikhil

This was my 2nd show on the wall tour. The first one was the first US Wall show in Chicago. HUGE difference between the two shows.

First off, I was hedging my bets on Gilmour playing this show, which is why I flew all the way from Bangalore, India to watch this concert. It's been 3 days of non stop travelling for me and quite a bit of money spent. Gilmour did not make an appearance but no regrets.

Watching a concert at the legendary MSG is quite an experience!

One can clearly see that the performances have been polished and perfected. I was extremely impressed by Robbie's singing which has improved a lot since the first time I saw him sing. He is still no Gilmour... same can be said about Dave's guitaring. The solo's are good but then again you all know what magic Gilmour can create with a Guitar.

Even the show has evolved a lot from the first time I saw it. Some of the graphics have been completely revamped, escpecially on "A last few bricks". The word "trippy" comes to mind watching the last few bricks disappear and appear and before you know it, there is one last brick left to be put in place.

The kids even did some free styling during ABITW 2 solo's.

What can you say about Waters? That man is a genius. His singing has been AMAZING on this tour.

Next up for me is to start planning a 2011 trip to London.... that's hopefully where Gilmour finally decides to make an appearance!!!

CONCERT REVIEW and PICTURE by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Simon Wimpenny

I was 12th row centre on the aisle for this show, my favourite place yet again however during In The Flesh i got a text from my friend Rick to say he was downstairs and the tickets he had bought had turned out to be fake and could I help! I made my way down to the box office and after a few words with a few people was able to bring Rick and his friend up to the floor and help them out. Glad you guys made it and hope you enjoyed the show!

Id missed a couple of things while trying to get Rick and his buddy into the show but when I got back I could see there had been problems with the schoolteacher puppet during Another Brick 2 as the teacher was still down and they were unable to retract it back, there was a roadie with a step ladder trying to sort the problem as the show went on.

Roger Waters - Madison Square Garden, November 6th 2010The venue was packed and totally sold out, the crowd were great they stood for the whole time and the atmosphere was far better than some of the shows the previous week where a lot of people remained seated!

The second half started and within minutes I was tapped on the shoulder by a girl and asked if I minded is she could stand next to me where there was a spare seat. Of course I said, she had a Union Jack T shirt on what else was a going to say :) I could tell she wasn't just a “general” fan as she knew every lyric to every track. We got talking between the tracks and it turned out she had driven down from Connecticut for the show, was a HUGE fan of the Wall album and had been introduced to her Floyd by here father.

After the wall came down (and in spectacular fashion!) we both made our way to the front rail and enjoyed Outside The Wall within feet of the stage and the band. Dave's now taken to making a pose at me with his banjo after he sees me at the shows but I wasn't quick enough to take a picture, I laughed and Jamie couldn't believe how close we were to the stage and seeing the smile on her face was just a perfect picture, I love seeing people's reactions when they stand on the rail and the band come out after the wall comes down. After watching the band onstage under the red and coloured lighting and then seeing them come out after under the bright white lights they appear to be so much closer and look so much different!
