We have been in plenty of discussion with the International Product Manager at Universal for the Pompeii DVD, about a release date for the US market. We've had loads of enquiries about this; as you may have seen from our previous news items, the US is one of the few territories which was missing from the list of release dates.

After some investigation, Universal have confirmed that they do have the rights to release this title in the US, but it has not been scheduled yet, so there is no information on the release date at this stage. Obviously as soon as we have this, we'll let you know.

If you are eager to get hold of this title (and we can confirm, having given the title some extensive watching, that it is a cracker!) and live in the US, there is another option open to you if you cannot wait for it to be scheduled for your country! Our friends over at DVDBrazil are offering the official Brazilian version of Pompeii on DVD, which is in NTSC format (US TV format), without any region coding (so theoretically playable on any machine worldwide) and has all the same features as the editions coming out elsewhere (the Directors Cut of the movie, Adrian Maben interview, etc etc). You can order it now (it was released last Wednesday, August 6th, in Brazil).
