Further to the story in our August news pages concerning Nick Mason's appearance at the Goodwood Revival Festival, Nick finished 6th in the Fordwater Trophy in the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ1, in a time of 18:34.765, and in the RAC TT he didn't finish as his Ferrari 250 GTO 62 had a problem. Although the car took part in free and qualifying practice, the problem persisted and therefore was unable to run in the race itself. He was sharing the drive with ex-Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger so it's a shame that it didn't work out.

Saturday night's Revival Festival party had the theme of Archaeologists in Egypt. Nick looked very dapper in a sand coloured, linen suit with wide brimmed hat! The party was to raise funds for the Mark Hanna Surgical Trust for research into the treatment of severe burns - a very good cause.

Our thanks to Janet at the Goodwood press office for her help!
