The new edition of Rolling Stone Magazine, celebrating their list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" as mentioned previously on our news pages, has finally hit European shores, and should be appearing in magazine retailers now. The magazine includes a hybrid SACD disc with selections from some of the Top 500 albums, and, as with the magazine itself, includes Pink Floyd ("Money" from Dark Side Of The Moon). The disc, in a white card sleeve, includes a competition with over 45,000 prizes to be won.

Of course, there is a fair amount of Floyd in the issue. Firstly, Richard Wright is one of the judges, who voted on his favourites and influenced the overall standings (including, no doubt, Miles Davis at number 12!). There's a look at the legendary recording studios, and Abbey Road is one of those featured. Ken Townshend, engineer there, gives his recollections of seeing the Floyd chopping wood!

Elsewhere, there is a nice picture of the band there, from the Wish You Were Here sessions (and also displayed at the Paris exhibition). A couple of other musicians give their top ten's, and DSOTM appears 8th in Wayne Coyne's, and 1st in Melissa Etheridge's ("listening to it is a journey").
