We were very pleased to be contacted by EMKA, Pink Floyd's management, at the end of the week. They have exclusively provided us with updates on a number of topics, and here is a precis of what they have told us:

  • Nick Mason's book: Nick's history of the band, as reported elsewhere in these news pages, is shaping up nicely, and due to be published this year. As yet, no publisher has been agreed.
  • David Gilmour's solo album: David is still working on his solo album; as yet, a completion date isn't known. Therefore, no release date yet, and no tour dates yet.
  • Richard Wright's solo album: Richard is also still working on his solo album; it is, as above, not complete but still a "work in progress".
  • PULSE DVD: There's no definite release date set yet... certain elements are still being worked on and decided on.
  • Interstellar exhibition: They are keen to tour the exhibition (and Brain Damage are currently helping one country to achieve this!) but there are no definite, confirmed dates or venues in other countries, yet.

We will have more information from the nice people at EMKA soon - so watch this space!
