DSOTM picture disc update

Further to the news story we posted towards the end of last month, concerning a picture disc commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon, more details have become apparent, coinciding with the arrival of the record itself at Brain Damage.

It is now clear that it is a counterfeit, and a close look at the record reveals some clues as to its true nature.

The pictures on both sides are very well reproduced, and the text is clear and sharp. There is a mistype on just one word - "striktly" rather than "strictly". However, it is the finish that betrays it. The vinyl, whilst thick, is poorly finished at the edges, with some surface scratches, and the spindle hole looks like it was done with a red-hot poker! Our copy also is not completely flat either.

The fact it is fake also explains why normal on-line retailers haven't been carrying this item; copies CAN be picked up from places such as eBay should you still want to add it to your collection...
