Further to previous news on these pages about Nick Mason's book on the history of Pink Floyd, we received an email from Nick himself, yesterday, updating us on progress with the book.

In the email, he talks about the release of the book in September, and also sets out the focus of the book. "This book is intended to be a fairly personal take on our history, rather than a definitive date by date exercise." He has been involving the other members of the band, families, and characters directly involved as co-workers on the various tours and recordings.

From some of the comments made, it is clear that Nick is still working on the book, but that the majority of it is complete. We have also spoken with the publishers, and, although it is some time away, they have promised some copies to give away in a competition we will be running.

In the meantime, you can secure your copy by ordering through our Amazon links, as they are currently giving a nice healthy discount off the recommended retail price! Once we have information on the US release of the book, we'll let you know.
