Wendy Bannister, wife of the legendary concert promoter Freddy Bannister, has contacted us with details of another box set that they have put together, taking a retrospective look at the concerts they promoted with the likes of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin playing. This new set looks at the 1969 and 1970 Bath Festivals, and the 1971 Lincoln Festival. It also looks, via the book included, at a whole range of Bannister-promoted concerts in the late sixties and early seventies. Pink Floyd performed at the 1970 Bath Festival, playing Atom Heart Mother with a full orchestra. Recently, footage of this performance surfaced on eBay, but we understand that there are plans afoot to release the whole Floyd performance in due course. As soon as we have more info, we will let you know via these pages! Here's what the limited edition, signed and numbered by Freddy Bannister, box set includes:
The cost of the set is £75, plus £7.50 in the UK and £20 to the States and to purchase a set or for further info please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone 01223-526073 (UK) or +44-1223-526073 (outside the UK).
