Further to our previous news stories concerning Nick Mason's book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd", we have a couple of updates and reminders for you of upcoming events.

We have received our copy of this magnificent tome, and are currently working our way through it. From our initial impressions of the book, which is huge and weighs a ton, it is a TOTALLY essential purchase - the pictures will stun you, and the text has fascinating, and highly entertaining, insights into their story. Our review will be ready soon, but we can tell you now, if you only have one Floyd book, this is the one to have.

We've contacted the organisers of the Belfast Festival, asking about Nick's one-off talk about his life in the band being held on November 1st, and were very surprised to hear that they still have around 100 tickets left out of the total 500 tickets on sale (at a very cheap £5 each) for this unique event. Should be a terrific evening - and with flights to Belfast very cheap at the moment, a show not to miss!

The book comes out in the UK and Europe tomorrow (although some stores already have it on their shelves), and Nick kicks off his book signing tour with two appearances in London. Here's the current list of where to catch Nick:

October 7th - Borders Books, Oxford Street, London (1pm)
October 7th - Virgin Megastore, Piccadilly, London (6pm)
October 14th - Fopp, Edinburgh
October 15th - HMV Records, Manchester
October 26th - WHSmith, Swindon (TO BE CONFIRMED)
October 28th - Borders Books, Bournemouth (7pm)
November 11th - Ottakers, Norwich (5pm)(not 11th Oct as previously advised)

Please confirm times with the stores before setting out, as they are subject to last minute change. There are likely to be other signing sessions and as we get information on this, we will let you know. Please arrive early, and be aware that he will only be signing his book at these events.

Nick's office have also told us that a large feature on Nick, with an interview, will be in the UK's Mail On Sunday this week, in the "Weekend" supplement. And as a reminder, he is on Johnny Walker's Drivetime Show, BBC Radio 2, on 12th October between 18:20 - 18:45hrs, and on the Richard & Judy Show, Channel 4 TV (UK), on October 13th between 17:00 - 18:00hrs. For those of you outside the UK, the BBC radio show will be streamed over the internet. There should be other interviews on various radio and TV stations as well; more details as and when.
