As a tribute to the late, great John Peel, there are going to be three programmes on digital TV channel BBC 4 celebrating the life of the British DJ, on Thursday December 16th, one of which includes Pink Floyd.

At 10pm GMT is 'Dear John' - tributes to the man, 10.30pm GMT 'Teenage Kicks - the Undertones' and at 11.10pm GMT 'John Peel: In Session Tonight'. This is described as "a look through the archives at some of the acts that John championed on his Radio 1 show through the decades. Featured performers include Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Roxy Music, the Specials, Joy Division, the Smiths, Billy Bragg, Orbital, Roni Size and the White Stripes."

The show lasts for 90 minutes, and can be viewed on Digital Satellite, cable and via Freeview. It is a repeat of a show which was tucked away on the BBC 4 schedules on November 7th, which most people managed to miss! Our thanks to Kevan Porter for letting us know about this show.
