The new, third edition of Vernon Fitch's essential "Pink Floyd Encyclopedia" has now been announced. To be published in April 2005 by Collectors Guide Publishing Inc, the book is the guide to pretty much anything you need to know about the band. This has been a labour of love for Vernon, and since the last edition came out, we are promised that hundreds of new facts have been added into the book. The cover has some subtle differences, as seen to the right of this text, where we have included both covers so that you can do a comparison. Vernon recently confirmed to us that he is still working on his and Richard Mahon's book about The Wall project, and this is due out next year. Here's what the publishers have to say about this new edition of the encyclopedia: The Pink Floyd Encyclopedia is an in-depth reference work covering all the people, places, and history of the musical group Pink Floyd. From the earliest days of the band to the present, this book explains band relationships, from The Abdabs to Zee. The Pink Floyd Encyclopedia is a must for every Pink Floyd enthusiast, from the casual fan to the obsessive collector.
The book includes:- Curiously enough, though, the cover shows that there are just two tracks - Interstellar Overdrive and A Saucerful Of Secrets. The previous edition included a CD with just Interstellar. Orders are now being taken by Amazon UK, and Amazon France. Based on previous editions, it is one of the few essential Floyd reference books to have on your bookshelves. |
