With much thanks to Wendy Bannister, daughter of the legendary concert promoter Freddy Bannister, we had a great Pink Floyd flavoured prize for you in this competition which has now closed. We were snowed under with entries, most of which were correct (well done!) and have finally picked out, at random, the lucky person who will be receiving a copy of the Bannister's limited edition, signed and numbered box set which looks at the 1969 and 1970 Bath Festivals, and the 1971 Lincoln Festival. The box set also looks, via the book included, at a whole range of Bannister-promoted concerts in the late sixties and early seventies. Pink Floyd performed at the 1970 Bath Festival, playing Atom Heart Mother with a full orchestra, and it was billed at that point as The Amazing Pudding. Our lucky winner is.... "Ummagumma Mark" from the UK! Mark, we've sent you an email asking you to confirm your postal address; please let us know as soon as possible so that the Bannisters can try to get this to you in time for Christmas! Bad luck to all the other entrants - better luck next time. The Bannisters still have some box sets left, and ordering info is shown below. Here's what the box set includes:
If you want to order one, the cost of the set is £75, plus £7.50 in the UK and £20 to the States and to purchase a set or for further info please email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone 01223-526073 (UK) or +44-1223-526073 (outside the UK). Our thanks to Wendy Bannister for making this offer available through Brain Damage, and for the great prize! |
