The 2005 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which should yet again feature participation from Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, has announced revised dates. The event will now be held on June 24th - 26th, due to a decision by the FIA to revise its Formula One Grand Prix calendar. The Festival was to be held in July but the date has been changed so that there is no clash with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The event, a celebration of all forms of motor racing, which attracts drivers and enthusiasts from all over the world, has enjoyed the help and enthusiasm of Mason from the very seeds of the Festival, with Nick helping to drum up support and interest in the event. The 2005 Festival will be the twelfth, and is held in the Sussex, England grounds of Lord March's Goodwood estate.

More details of the event can be found at www.Goodwood.co.uk, and, as in the past couple of years, entry into the event will again be by advance ticket only, so visitors will need to ensure that they book in plenty of time so as to avoid any last minute disappointment. The change to advance ticket only policy has been implemented in order to preserve the Festival’s unique relaxed atmosphere following a period of sustained growth.

The ticket office can be contacted by telephone on +44 1243 755055, or you can book online at www.Goodwood.co.uk.

BOOK REVIEW
As we mentioned recently, Nick Mason has put down his drumsticks and picked up his pen yet again, contributing to the recently released "Goodwood Festival of Speed" book by Richard Sutton, which is published by Harper Collins.

We've taken a close look at this book, and report our findings in our full review of the book. This glorious, full colour large format book (featuring over 600 pictures!) includes a number of great pictures of, and sections involving, Nick Mason, including a section written by him about the Festival.

It is now available to order through our special links at Amazon.com, Canada, UK, France, or Germany, and is heartily recommended...
