Nick Mason's great new book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd" is selling well in various countries, and is now available in the US. To coincide with this, Nick is doing an exhaustive round of interviews and book signings at the moment across the country. We've had a great response from people who have attended signing events so far, and we've had some great recollections and photos from each of these. We're just collating these reports and pictures, and aim to post them tomorrow. And if you have recorded any interviews that Nick has undertaken, please let us know!
INTERVIEW - LISTEN AGAIN The interview is fascinating, and goes into good detail. Of particular fun are snippets of old recordings (for example, Amsterdam 1969) played to test Nick's memory of the band's concert history.
INTERVIEWS - UPCOMING Nationwide (syndicated across 70 stations) on Wednesday April 20th, and streamed worldwide from a number of participating stations, is ROCKLINE, one of the best-known interview shows. Here's their description of what is to come this week: Pink Floyd may not be currently active, but Nick Mason is a man on the go. Nick has written the definitive book about Pink Floyd due May 3rd, 2005. And who better to write it than the man who was the one constant in an ever changing, ultra creative yet volatile band? In addition to his unique vantage point from the drum kit, Nick applies his well known wit and intellect providing humor, candor and a perspective only he has. He also shares numerous photos and personal collectibles in the book. In its tumultuous history Pink Floyd has sold a remarkable 116 million albums worldwide, but somehow no one has been able to shed the proper light on the band until now. Nick's schedule is akin to the President's right now. He told us he would love to take your calls on ROCKLINE with one caveat... he might be 10 minutes late. Who are we to decline such an offer? ROCKLINE will whisk Nick from one location to our New York City studio in the time it takes to begin the show and play Floyd's classic song "Time". Then for the remaining 80 minutes, or so, he will regale us with Pink Floyd stories inside out! Nick has been our esteemed guest many times on the show, but this promises to be special. The show airs at 11:30pm EST, and definitely sounds like a show to catch if you can.
