This page is devoted to the BBC coverage of the Live 8 concert in London, on July 2nd, 2005, which features the reunion of Roger Waters with Pink Floyd for the occasion. For all other countries/broadcasters, check out our main Live 8 broadcast page. In the UK, the BBC is the host broadcaster for Live 8 London (the one with Pink Floyd!) with coverage across BBC ONE, TWO and THREE, with radio broadcasts on Radio's 1 and 2, the BBC World Service and across the BBC's regional stations. The BBC radio stations are streamed on the internet at www.bbc.co.uk, meaning people worldwide can enjoy their coverage live, as it happens. Here's the current detail:
* BBC TELEVISION For those not lucky enough to win tickets to Live 8, the disappointment should be short lived as Jonathan Ross kick starts the BBC's coverage of the world's biggest rock concert in London's Hyde Park. As the action unfolds live on the stage, Jonathan will take viewers to the very heart of the event, reporting from a specially built, all seeing pod set just above the live acts. Jo Whiley and Fearne Cotton will be catching the bands as they come on and off stage and keeping viewers up to date with all of the backstage action. Bob Geldof, Bono, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Elton John, Sting and Chris Martin are just some of the big names that will be interviewed by the BBC team of presenters. Not only will we be bringing all of the London Concert live, but also the best of the music from Paris, Berlin and Rome.
2 July: Live 8 Crosses the Atlantic As America gears up to go live Jonathan Ross will take a look back at the excitement of the day, reflecting on the event with organiser Bob Geldof. Then crossing over live to the States, Graham Norton will be on hand to bring viewers back home the excitement of the amazing line up from Philadelphia.
2 July: Live 8 Reloaded The whole Live 8 experience from Europe and America from start to finish for those who missed it earlier in the day.
Live 8 USA The whole of the Live 8 Philadelphia show as seen last night in America, hosted by Will Smith and featuring a galaxy of American superstars.
* BBC RADIO In addition to the programmes on 2 July, many networks will also be examining the background to the event before and after the show.
Radio 1 Radio 1 is broadcasting live throughout the day from Hyde Park - with Radio 1 DJs including Sara Cox, Vernon Kay and Chris Moyles bringing listeners coverage of some the best bands in the world. To give a flavour of the other Live 8 concerts happening around the world, Radio 1's Newsbeat will also be reporting live from Paris, Berlin and Rome. In a specially extended version of the rap show from 9pm, Tim Westwood catches up with the events in Philadelphia.
Radio 2 Chris Evans, Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary host Radio 2's coverage. Chris will be side of stage talking to artists pre and post performance and speaking to audiences watching the concert via big screens around the UK. Davina and Dermot are out and about, talking to performers backstage and to the audience enjoying the concert in the park.
Radio 4
Radio Five Live In the morning, Brian Alexander will be in Hyde Park ahead of the UK's Live 8 gig, soaking up the atmosphere and speaking to the organisers. Phil Williams is also in Hyde Park all day behind the scenes speaking to the artists as they go on and come off stage.
