006With David Gilmour's On An Island tour now complete, Guy Pratt, who very ably took care of bass duties in the band (and on the album), is keeping himself busy. Having had such a great time on the tour, he told us that he is "missing the road terribly...", and so has told us about his four upcoming one-man shows in London.

A short while ago he contacted us to thank all the Brain Damage readership who submitted their comments about the Gilmour shows. Your reviews obviously gave the band something to read in quiet moments, and maybe even gave them food for thought! You can read the reviews, and information about the shows, in our David Gilmour 2006 tour zone.

Naturally, Guy has added material from this tour to his show, which now includes anecdotes relating to his work not only with David and the Floyd, but also other luminaries such as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bryan Ferry, and Whitesnake's David Coverdale. It has received enthusiastic reviews from many sources, and indeed, our own review of the show can be read through this link: http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/old/reviews/guylive.html.

The shows will all take place at the historic King's Head Theatre in Islington, North London, on 13th, 20th, 26th and 27th November. Tickets will be available from the venue box office on (tel:) 0207-226-1916, and from online ticket agent, Ticketweb.co.uk. Tickets should be available soon.

Guy brings to vivid life some of the absurdities of life on the road, and the absurd characters, too. An excellent way to spend an evening! The Floyd content was excellent, but then so were his anecdotes about the many other top artists he has worked with, too. We're really pleased that Guy has announced more shows... We'll be there, and urge you to be there, too...
