Guy Pratt, bass guitarist and song writer, who was worked with some of the biggest names in rock and pop - in particular, with Pink Floyd, following the departure of Roger Waters - is putting on a show at the Edinburgh Festival spilling the beans on life on the road.

The show - "My Bass & Other Animals" runs from August 4th - 28th, and has Guy taking us on "a hilarious journey from teenage bedroom to stadium, armed only with Bass Guitar and frankly unbelievable tales of life with Pink Floyd, Madonna, Michael Jackson and madness of the 80's."

Guy joined Pink Floyd in 1987, touring with the band on that year's tour, and all subsequent tours, appears on the Delicate Sound Of Thunder and PULSE live albums/videos, and The Division Bell studio album.

He has also worked with the likes of Madonna, Bryan Ferry, and Michael Jackson, having played bass professionally for around 20 years, and the show promises a hilarious and intriguing insight into the music industry and behind the scenes of touring.

As a taster for the show, Guy appeared on this evening's "Drivetime" show on BBC Radio 2, talking about his career, including Madonna's motivation techniques! You can listen to the show for seven days - Guy's interview occurs around one and a half hours through the show.
