We recently had the pleasure of interviewing bassist Guy Pratt, who was in Edinburgh staging a very successful one-man-show looking at his long musical career, which has involved working with such artists as Michael Jackson and Madonna.

Recently described as "Pink Floyd's bass player for when the band are arguing", he has worked with them since 1987, in the studio and on the road.

Guy has been back in contact with us. On the back of the extremely positive reaction to the run of dates in Edinburgh, which had a number of sell-out shows, he has told us of his first West End show...

My Bass and Other Animals
Monday 24th October 2005
Sound Theatre, Swiss Centre,
10 Wardour St, London, W1D 6QF

Showtime is 7.30pm, and tickets available from 0870 890 0503.

Guy recently wondered if there was any interest in doing a "Floyd special" version of the show - just about his experiences with them - for the Floyd community. We've had a number of emails from you asking him to do such a show, and are passing along a selection of your views to Guy for his deliberation! We know he's got a wealth of stories relating to his time with the band (indeed, he is currently recording with David Gilmour for his [David's] solo album), so we're hoping that he will go ahead with this idea!
