With Roger Waters "Ca Ira" being released next week (read our exclusive, full review here on the site), we have more for you, to whet your appetite for the long-awaited album, including an exclusive excerpt from "Ca Ira - The DVD" to download! The "lavish first edition digipack" includes the full opera on two hybrid SACDs (playable on normal CD players), with a bonus of the DVD, which covers the genesis and creation of the project, through to completion. It is a fascinating look at the development and recording process, and we've reviewed it for you. Our review also includes some interesting background to the album itself, provided to us by Adrian Maben, who wrote and directed the DVD. Adrian has been filming Roger's work on the piece since 1995, amassing in excess of 300 video tapes of footage, giving an illuminating view of how Roger approached the work. Roger is a full contributor to the DVD, never shy to express his views, or to inject humour into the proceedings here and there. Read our "Ca Ira - The DVD" review which also includes an EXCLUSIVE excerpt from the DVD, in Quicktime format, for you to download! The digipack version of Ca Ira, which includes the DVD, can be ordered through our special Amazon links. |
