We reported on 3rd September of the publication on November 3rd of "Drawing Blood: Forty Five Years of Scarfe Uncensored", an eager-awaited book that sees highlights of Gerald Scarfe's career compiled into a lavish hardback book.

The book promises to be a feast for all Floyd fans, due to his extensive work with the band, over the years. Gerald's PA has also told us that the book features a few illustrations from The Wall which haven't been seen before - alongside the five decades of incredibly varied work he has done for all sorts of people and publications.

To coincide with the release, there are a number of events lined up...

17th October - 3rd November: exhibition at University Of Surrey Art Gallery
9th November - (closure date TBC): exhibition at Fine Art Society, Bond Street, London

Personal appearances by Gerald Scarfe as follows:
Friday 28th October: Guildford Book Festival - an illustrated talk. 7pm
Wednesday 9th November: The Old Market, Hove - an illustrated talk. 6.30pm
Thursday 10th November: book signing at Borders in Oxford - 6.30pm - 7.30pm

We had the pleasure of attending one of Gerald's illustrated talks in London, last year, and it was a fascinating and amusing look at his career, including his work with Pink Floyd. Definitely worth going to one of these, if you can.
