uffizi Those of you who are able to visit the lovely Italian city of Florence (Firenze) on Monday evening (October 20th), should be in for a treat. Ron Geesin, along with cellist Caroline Dale, are paying a flying visit to perform in a very special concert at the legendary Uffizi Gallery in the heart of Florence.

Ron has been busy rewriting some of the melody parts of Atom Heart Mother to perform the piece on piano and cello with Caroline, who also took part in the two London performances in June (and worked with David Gilmour previously), and with Federico Maremmi of Mun Floyd on acoustic and lap steel guitar. For the Italian audience, Ron will also be presenting his "Story Of Atom Heart Mother" slideshow and reminiscences, with the help of Federico as translator, and will also be performing some of his own acclaimed improvisations and other works.
