The much anticipated pair of Atom Heart Mother concerts at London's Cadogan Hall take place this weekend (tomorrow, Saturday June 14th at 7:30pm, and Sunday June 15th at 7pm).

In case you need reminding, Ron Geesin, the co-composer of AHM, will recreate Pink Floyd's iconic 1970 album. The performances will also feature archive material from the original recording and other music by Ron, including new scores created specially for the occasion. David Gilmour will be joining the stage for Sunday's performance of the track, alongside the Italian band Mun Floyd, cellist Caroline Dale (who has worked with David before), the brass ensemble, and the 40-strong chorus Canticum.

Cow outside St Luke's ChurchWe hear that preparations have gone extremely well, with Thursday's rehearsals going smoothly, and the music sounding wonderful. Naturally we'll be covering the shows in detail, in part with our friends over at, and Zack from that site wanted to share with you all the picture to the right [click the thumbnail] - the enthusiastic cow promoting the shows, and the rest of the 2008 Festival, has no doubt heartily confused the non-Floydy locals!
