autoweekNick Mason brought a distinct Pink Floyd touch to the 32nd Retromobile, which was staged in the south of Paris between February 16th - 25th (which we reported on here). At the exhibition, amongst the beautiful cars from his collection were images from the band's past, and even a drumkit!

He enthused to Autoweek: “It’s the scale of the thing. When one thinks of car shows, you think of a couple of stalls selling parts and headlamps. Here you see acres and acres of old headlamps!”

Autoweek are giving the show a good bit of coverage to the event in this week's issue, and also on their website which includes a picture gallery from the event. Included are two pictures of Nick and his stunning Ferrari 250GTO.

At the show, hanging from the ceiling above Nick's car display, were circular representations of various album covers, and the aforementioned drumkit - the one he is best known for, his fantastic 1972 Ludwig drumkit, with the Great Wave Of Kanagawa design (by Katsushika Hokusai, who died in 1849).

Whilst there, Nick signed copies of his books Into The Red (also known as At The Limit), and Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd. He also signed all manner of Floyd items brought along to the show by thrilled fans.

With thanks to Olivier from the French fanzine Speak to m(E), we have a selection of pictures of Nick in action:
