Guitarist issue 399 - David Gilmour interviewThe new issue (issue 399, cover date October 2015) of the UK's Guitarist magazine includes David Gilmour in a cover feature and interview.

In the magazine, which went on sale on Friday, September 18th (coincidentally the worldwide release date of Rattle That Lock, David's excellent new album), the interview has David covering the creative process behind the album - with an emphasis on the guitar side, of course - covering everything from working with Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music fame to his creative approaches to writing guitar parts and the guitar gear he used on the album.

The nine page article is an absorbing look at the creation of this album, and goes into a little more technical detail than most of the interviews so far, but without losing the non-technically minded in a whirlwind of equipment minutiae. Interestingly it must be one of the first interviews which DOESN'T mention the French railway (SNCF) jingle inspiring David toward the title track of the album.

The magazine is available from all good UK magazine retailers now, and available to purchase - worldwide - through this direct link to the publisher's approved online outlet.
